Yogyakarta- On Saturday-Sunday (02-03/06/2018), the Pharmacy Student Executive Board (BEM) of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan held Ramadan activities in the fostered villages of the Faculty of Pharmacy UAD in Tegalsari, Purwosari, Girimulyo Kulonprogo. Ramadan 1439 H is the right momentum to do something good because Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala will double the reward. This has become a spirit/enthusiasm for Muslims to always contribute to other people. The committee was also eager to make the most of the month of Ramadan this year to conduct this program.

The activities carried out by the Pharmacy students of UAD included a fun competition for TPA children and also gathering to break the fast together on Saturday (02/06/2018). Approximately 40 children of the TPA Darul Arifin Mosque in the hamlet of Tegalsari attended and were enthusiastic about doing religious competitions held by the committee, Mr. Saryanto one of the TPA caregivers confirmed. The next activity was having an iftar together with TPA children and also the village youth. About 70 people (youth and children) attended the activities held by the Pharmacy Student Executive Board of UAD

On Sunday (03/06/2018), the following activity was counseling on the benefits of Medicinal Plant Families (TOGA) by a Pharmacy lecturer of UAD, Iin Narwanti M.Sc. Activities held by the Pharmacy Student Executive Board of UAD in the month of Ramadan were only the lead-in to other series of events in the Faculty’s fostered village and have received positive response and enthusiasm from the community.
