The Pharmacy Faculty of UAD Strengthens Cooperation with Taipei Medical University in the Genomic Field
Taipei (Taiwan)- In following-up the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the Pharmacy Faculty of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) and the School of Pharmacy of Taipei Medical University (TMU), which was initiated in 2016, Dr.Dyah Aryani Perwitasari M.Si., Ph.D. Apt (Pharmacy of UAD’s Dean) and Dr. Wahyu Widyaningsih M.Si., Apt (BAA of UAD’s Head) visited TMU on 16-20/07/2018. The agreement encompasses joint research and collaboration between the two universities to generate international-level advanced research. The Dean and vice dean of Taipei Medical University, Prof. Jing-Ping Liou and Prof. Wei-Chiao Chang,
welcomed the visit. Prof. Liou expressed his appreciation to the Dean of the Pharmacy of UAD for sparing her time to visit TMU to consolidate the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) between both universities. In 2018, TMU was the best private university in Taiwan, ranked 362 worldwide, and ranked 76 in Asia based on QS Rankings referring to four pillars, i.e., Research, Teaching, Employability, and Internationalization. The Pharmacy of UAD and The Pharmacy of TMU planned to reinforce research cooperation in the genomic study. Prof. Chang, the Director of Genomic Center of TMU, addressed it, who is also the Vice Dean of Pharmacy TMU. He expected a robust research collaboration between universities, primarily in the Pharmacogenomic and Pharmacoprotemic disciplines.
In addition to genomic cooperation, both institutions also agreed to cooperate in the online course or Massive Open Online Course (MOOC’s). The online course materials include Basic Good Pharmacy Practice, Moderate Good Pharmacy Practice, and Advanced Good Pharmacy Practice. (DV)
